GRANGE Town Council's expenditure for 2007/08 has come in more than £14,400 under budget, members were told at their annual meeting tonight (Monday).

The council predicted outgoings at the end of the financial year would come to £118,614 but they totted up to £104,200.

In addition, councillors heard that income was £6,785 up on predictions at £116,647.

The result is the council was able to transfer over £21,000 to reserves, a much more favourable position than last year when it had to take £8,752 out of reserves to plug a deficit.
