ONE of the Lake District’s most visited tourist attractions has appointed a new general manager.
Stacey McShane has taken the top job at the World of Beatrix Potter Attraction in Bowness.
Born and raised in Windermere, she has worked her way through the ranks since joining the attraction in 2000.
“I am thrilled to have taken on the leadership role,” she said.
“In just my second week our show garden at Chelsea won a gold medal – it has been a fantastic start to what I hope will be a very exciting period with lots to look forward to.”
Directors Roger Glossop and Charlotte Scott said: “We are delighted that Stacey has accepted the position, and with her expertise and knowledge of Beatrix Potter, the exhibition and all areas of our organisation, we are confident she will take the business from strength to strength.”
