AN eco campaigner is committed to leading the solar revolution in the Lake District.
Ben Dyson is using experience as a National Trust environment policy officer and conservation volunteer to launch his own green energy business – Lakes Renewables in Kendal.
The 37-year-old, from Lazonby near Penrith, has a string of installations under his belt, including some in the National Park.
He said: “Before joining the National Trust I'd volunteered with the British Trust for Conservation Volunteers, building paths, hedges and bridges in Cumbria. It was all over the Eden Valley and the Lakes and it was just nice to know you were helping the area.”
