LATEST innovations and ideas to boost business on the high street will be showcased at an event in Kendal.
The event, being held at Kendal Town Hall today (Thursday), is being hosted by South Lakeland District Council’s (SLDC) Invest in South Lakeland Team in partnership with regeneration company Revive and Thrive.
The day-long event will feature up-to-the-minute thinking on high street revenue generation, examples of local best practice and the latest technical innovations to help shops and businesses to succeed.
Sessions will include:
• A guided walking tour of Kendal to look at economic development work
• A talk by Maria Whitehead, owner of Hawkshead Relish, about building a successful export business
• How to use digital communications to support regeneration
• How augmented reality can enhance the shopper experience
• How the use of multi-retailer prepaid gift cards can support town centre trading
• A talk by Spencer Hannah, owner of The Herdy Company, on establishing online retail for smaller businesses
