SMALL businesses in Kendal will be given the opportunity to learn vital online sales and marketing skills at no cost thanks to a new trial being run by Kendal Business Improvement District (BID), in partnership with People 1st and Kendal College.

The Digital Business Skills programme, which includes three modules in digital marketing, website development and social media, has been specifically designed to help small businesses build their knowledge of the internet and the benefits of getting their business online.

Daniel Morley, chairperson of Kendal BID, said: “If we are to make Kendal a destination for all, we have to recognise that digital technology is here to stay and that businesses need to embrace it.

Fully-funded places on the programme are available now and the training will begin on June 15 from 5-9pm and will continue for a further two sessions on June 22 and 29 at Kendal College.

Businesses can register their place now by visiting www.kendalbid.co.uk.
