DOZENS of Kendal businesses have received Organ Donor leaflets with a unique Kendal reference number this week.
The move is part of town councilllors’ Chris and Rachael Hogg’s campaign to make Kendal a ‘donor town’.
The leaflets are also available at the Gateway Hub, Age UK South Lakeland, Cancer Care and the Castle Green.

New statistics released on Monday in the annual Organ Donation and Transplantation Activity Report shows the number of transplants has decreased from 4,655 last year to 4,431 in 2014/15. This is a five per cent decrease on last year and means that 224 fewer people received an organ transplant.
