A SWISS couple are swapping one area of outstanding natural beauty for another as they prepare to take over a Keswick guest house.
Jerome and Laura Boujard have acquired Howe Keld - a newly refurbished bed and breakfast designed to appeal to the top end of the Cumbria tourism market.
The married couple bought the property from David and Valerie Fisher for £1.25m in a deal brokered by Colliers International.
Haydn Spedding, associate director of the property firm's Manchester office, said: "David and Val recognised that Howe Keld and indeed Keswick would benefit greatly from being repositioned for the top end of the local guest house market and spent a significant sum on a major refurbishment and extension of the property.
"Their investment and commitment paid off handsomely by producing healthy returns via greatly enhanced turnover and net profit and the Boujards look forward to taking the business on to even greater levels of trading success."
