ALDI re-opened its newly extended Kendal store on Queen Katherine Avenue with an official ribbon cutting ceremony performed by store manager Paul Riley and the 1st Kendal Scout Group.

The store has undergone a seven month development, increasing in size from 960sqm to 1,124sqm and is now supported by 105 car parking spaces.

As part of Aldi’s community engagement initiative, the store donated a range of products to the 1st Kendal Scout Group to support the group after its equipment was badly affected by the recent flooding.

Scouts joined in with the re-opening celebrations to receive their donation and declare the store officially ‘open’.

The newly-extended store will stock around 1,650 product lines.

Mr Riley said: “It was great to see everyone’s reactions to the new store, and we have received very positive feedback so far from our customers.”
