A SEARCH engine giant is returning to South Lakeland to offer expert advice on online promotion.
Google is joining up with South Lakeland District Council to hold a free business event in Kendal.
The Google team will give advice on how to make websites stand out on computers and mobile devices by developing engaging content and using web analytics effectively.
Matt Williams, the project office for the council's economic development team is looking forward to welcoming the household name to Kendal.
"It is essential that businesses are aware of how to make the most of promoting themselves online and know how to use their web presence to reach new customers," he said. "We are dedicated to doing everything we can to help businesses in South Lakeland prosper and encourage economic growth and employment."
The visit forms part of Google's Digital Garage programme, a series of events during which the search engine team will travel the country to give local businesses tips on how to boost their web presences.
This is not the first time that Google have been to South Lakeland, as a previous event was held in 2013 and this year's offering is expected to be incredibly popular.
The event will be held at the Brewery Arts Centre in Kendal on July 13. It is free to any business in South Lakeland but limited to two attendees per company. Those interested are encouraged to register online at www.southlakeland.gov.uk/b2b
Doors will open from 9.45am for networking, refreshments and registration and the event will start at 10am.
