Early in 2015, the famous Cartmel Sticky Toffee Pudding Company was asked by the J D Wetherspoon pub chain to supply them with Sticky Toffee Puddings for their menu.

Following successful negotiations, meetings and sampling days, including a fun and games session at the J D Wetherspoon Head Office in Watford, where the product was showcased to senior managers within the group, pudding production began in August 2015; this was great news for Cartmel who were also celebrating their 25th anniversary in 2015.

With nearly 1000 pubs owned by the J D Wetherspoon group across the UK, it’s not surprising that, as we enter June 2016, the J D Wetherspoon Cartmel Sticky Toffee Pudding count is approaching the one million mark!

Word has got around that Cartmel Sticky Toffee Pudding is on the menu at J D Wetherspoon pubs around the country and people have taken to social media to share the news. Some, who don’t know that Cartmel is famous for its Sticky Toffee Pudding, have sent tweets to @jdwtweet thinking that a spelling error has been made on their menus; confusing Cartmel with Caramel. The pudding professionals have been only too pleased to point out that the menus are correct: Cartmel, the home of Sticky Toffee Pudding, is supplying their delicious, award winning puddings to the pub chain.

If you’ve never tried one of their Sticky Toffee Puddings, there’s almost certain to be one available at your nearest J D Wetherspoon pub chain, so it’s time to treat yourself!
