AN established Kendal business has moved into a more central location in Blackhall Yard.
Since it was established 16 years ago, Northern Lights Stained Glass has moved location five times.
The new location offers not just the normal workshop, but there is also an adjoining shop called Sarah Bibet Fused Glass, offering quirky glass plates, wave moulds, mirrors, clocks and more.
Sarah Walkey, the woman behind Northern Lights, said the move from Highgate has so far proven to be successful.
"Where we were was not very good for passing trade and we thought being more central would help," she said. "It's definitely better so far. Before we were only making one sale a week whereas now we are making several a day."
Sarah thinks that the natural afternoon light that pours through the windows helps to make her stained glass pieces look attractive.
As well as featuring Sarah's own work, the Sarah Bibet shop also showcases the work of three other local artists, including Lucy Crisping's handmade books, Gill Aitkin's mosaics and Colette Bain's papier mache art.
