Best of British and, more importantly, best of Cumbria, is the phrase of the day at this year's Cartmel Show.

"It's a local show so you just want to do the best of South Lakes, the best of Cumbria," said show secretary Sarah Dickinson.

"It's not just the cattle and the sheep, it's everything. The home baking, the produce and the demonstrations that are happening here today."
