A KENDAL business student has been recognised for his outstanding work.
Lamont Pridmore, an accountants with a Kendal office, have awarded James Jackson a prize for his commitment.
James, who hopes to study accounting at Newcastle University was awarded the Lamont Pridmore Business Studies Student of the Year Award 2016.
Karl Burrell, managing director at Lamont Pridmore’s Kendal Office, said: "Having spoken with James and his teachers, I am delighted to be presenting this award to such a deserving student.
"He has demonstrated a strong commitment towards the subject and I am delighted to hear that he wishes to pursue a career in accountancy. I am sure that he will go on to succeed in his university studies."
