AN ULVERSTON apprentice graduate has been rewarded for his hard work by Honda UK.
Andrew Stables, who works at Henry Armer and Son, has been named as the ‘Apprentice of the Year for Power Equipment’ by the international company.
The award is given each year to the apprentice who truly excels in his or her field – with nominations taken from Honda’s apprentice trainers, assessors and managers before being judged against specific criteria. The overall winner is then identified by the Honda apprentice programme management team.
Andrew, 25, who is a specialist ATV technician, was delighted to have won and said: “I am both surprised and thrilled. I have been given an amazing opportunity by Honda and my dealership and have learned such a lot over the past two-and-a-half years. Now I am looking forward to completing the programme over the coming months.”
Speaking about Andrew’s achievement, Paul Taylor, of the Honda Institute, said: “Andrew regularly passes on the skills learned at the Honda Institute to other technicians at the Henry Armer dealership. His work has been second-to-none, completing all tasks well before the deadlines, and I cannot think of a more deserving winner.”
