In ‘the Marketing Clinic’, we have been working our way through the ‘six Ps of marketing’, to enable a consistent, effective and successful marketing strategy. This week, we will look in further detail at the fourth ‘P’: People.

‘People’ focuses on the importance of the people who work with and for you. Do you have the right people in the right places within your business? Are they helping take your product and service to its full potential? You need “people” that treat your product as though it were their own.

  • Employing the right people for the job is one of the most important things you will do for your business.
  • Your employees are the ‘face’ of your product and represent your brand. They are also the cog in the wheel behind the scenes, ensuring that tasks are undertaken and delivered correctly and on time.
  • As a business owner you must work hard to develop your employees and to manage them respectfully, so that they wish to work for you and that you get the best out of them.
  • Sourcing the correct people with the right skills for each specific role is a key factor in ensuring a happy workforce who are willing to give you 100%.
