GROWING concerns over the future of the Westmorland General Hospital has prompted councillors in Kendal to set up a sub-committee to work alongside the Save our NHS Services group.
Speaking at a meeting of Kendal Town Council tonight, Coun Austen Robinson said: "The situation at the hospital seems to be getting worse and worse daily and perhaps we should form a little sub-committee so that the council could work with SOS and respond to things more quickly."
It was decided that Coun Maria Radice, Coun Robinson, Coun Tony Rothwell and Coun Charles Batteson would be on the sub-committee.
