POLICE are appealing for the public's help in tracing a missing couple who may be in Cumbria, North Lancashire or North Yorkshire.

Paul and Joan Brook, both 67, are from Morecambe and are believed to have left their home at about 11am yesterday (March 14) in their beige Citroen Picasso with registration number PK0 2BRK.

Mrs Brook, who is also known as Katy, is described as being white, 5ft 5in in height, with collar length wavy grey hair, while Mr Brook is white, 5ft 5in in height and has receding dark brown straight hair.

Police believe they may be in Cumbria, North Lancashire or North Yorkshire but they are also known to frequent the Settle and Skipton area.

DI Phil Jones, who is leading the investigation, said: "We are concerned for the welfare of the couple and would ask that should a member of the public see them or their vehicle, to contact their local police immediately.

"The family are concerned for the well-being of their parents and we are keen to locate them such is our concern.

"We believe they are in the Skipton area but may well be anywhere in North Lancashire or the adjoining counties."
