THE Arnside and Silverdale Food Festival looks set to become a ‘permanent annual fixture’ after 350 people turned out on Saturday.
Foodies indulged in a barbecue and refreshments from local producers, while youngsters enjoyed activities and a bun decorating competition hosted by Silverdale School.
Milkman and festival organiser Martin Humphrey said: “The food festival started out as a little Westmerian/Lancastrian ‘toe in the water’ and ended up as something beyond our wildest dreams – a fantastic celebration of the best of local food and drink.
“Most of our stalls had virtually sold out by early afternoon.”
