Subsequently, the Midland Hotel has won two Campaign for Real Ale awards and Branch Pub of the Year in Westmorland for both 2013 and 2014.
Mrs Bissland said: “Due to unexpected health problems we have decided to move on. We are really pleased with what we have achieved here and think new owners could take turnover further, particularly with increasing opening hours and promoting the rooms more to the tourist trade."
The property`s freehold is available through leisure property specialists Fleurets off a guide price of £425,000.
