Woman dies in flat fire
Police have confirmed that a 45-year-old woman has died following a fire earlier this morning at a flat in Penrith.
Police were called at 2.16am this morning (18th November) following a fire at a property on Brunswick Square.

A woman was taken to the Cumberland Infirmary in a critical condition and has sadly died.
The death is not believed to be suspicious at this time. Police are working with Cumbria Fire & Rescue Service to investigate the circumstances leading to the fire.
The Coroner has been informed and police are supporting her family.
