CARTMEL Racecourse has scooped a top national award at a prestigious racing industry event.
The popular course was named 'overall champion' during the annual Racecourse Association Showcase & Awards at Doncaster Racecourse.
The award comes after Cartmel took the ‘Jump Racecourse Groundstaff of the Year’ and 'Groundstaff Champions’ titles.

Jonathan Garratt, managing director at Cartmel Racecourse, said: “We are very proud of Gary Sharp and his team, who have shown a huge amount of dedication over recent seasons to bring about some significant improvements to the track at Cartmel.
