ORGANISERS of a charity duck race have received an anonymous £20,000 donation.
Ambleside Kirkstone Rotary Club put on the event at Stock Beck, Rothay Park, in the summer in aid of research into Alzheimer's and 2,000 ducks were raced.
The donation has boosted the coffers to a staggering £23,100.

The Rotary Club had chosen to support the charity in recognition of two members, Mary and John Stevenson, who had first-hand experience of living and dealing with dementia.
Mr Stevenson was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer's at only 53 and passed away the day before the duck race took place, which made the fund-raising even more poignant.
