Robinson, entered in six events, was at the top of his form and throughout the weekend smashed his own best times on five occasions. His best effort came from the 100m butterfly where he battled his way into 5th place with a brilliant time of 59.43. He then went on to show his all round skills with three more PBs.

Taking on the gruelling 400m individual medley he got into an epic battle with Joseph Russell (Mt Kelly) and in a close finish took 13th place with a best time of 4:48.48. Then his 200m individual medley saw him knock five seconds off his previous best and in a blanket finish with seven other swimmers all finishing on 2:12 he had to settle for 9th.

Two more P.B.s came from his 100m individual medley and 100m backstroke.

Capstick was also in magnificent form and in the 50m backstroke produced a 29.96 for a fantastic P.B and a place as first reserve for the final. She then put herself in the mix for success in the 200m backstroke with another P.B with a 2:22.97 and a brilliant 7th place.

A change of stroke had her keeping up the pressure in the 50m butterfly sprint where into the last length they all began to wind it up and Capstick managed to snatch 5th place in another storming finish and a P.B. of 29.64. She then tackled the 200m individual medley and lowered her best time to 2:30.29.

Richardson joined the action to put in some impressive swims that were up to her best times but only managed to produce one P.B. This came from her 100m freestyle when off the block she got a magnificent start.

She kept up with the tempo and into the last length moved up a gear which took her into 9th place and just outside the final with a 59.67 to break the one minute barrier for the first time in her career.
