A three-volume book written and signed by author and philosopher John Ruskin will be for sale at a book fair in Grasmere.

The Antiquarian Booksellers Association's second Grasmere Book Fair will take place this year at Grasmere Village Hall on Friday, October 13 from 12.30pm- 6pm and on Saturday, October 14 from 10.30am -5pm.

With 17 exhibitors from all over the United Kingdom, there will be books, maps, prints and ephemera offered for sale from a few pounds to many thousands.

They will include an edition of The Stones of Venice, London 1873 -4, a near fine three-volume set, written by and signed by John Ruskin and bound in a sumptuous three-quarter light tan calf binding by Bayntun of Bath.

It is for sale at £2,000 on the stand of Roger J. Treglown.

Admittance is free and refreshments are available.

The fair is run in association with the Wordsworth Trust, at Dove Cottage, Grasmere, where book-themed events will take place on Saturday, October 14.
