BRITAIN’S Got Talent star Steven Hall is gearing up for a bright future in showbusiness.

The 53-year-old telecommunications engineer has signed up with top management company MIG and is being booked up left, right and centre after finishing seventh in the hit ITV show with his deadpan dance routine.

Fan mail has been flooding in – so much so that he is struggling to reply to it all – and such is his fame that post simply addressed ‘Steven Hall, Britain’s Got Talent, Kendal’ has reached him.

Steven has just finished a nationwide Britain’s Got Talent tour playing massive venues such as London’s 02 Arena and Nottingham’s Capital FM Arena.

“It was everything you wanted it to be and more,” he said.

“On the wall of the dressing rooms would be the likes of Queen and Whitney Houston who had performed in these places, and I would think: ‘Wow, now it’s me'.

“We were treated like rock stars. All the hotels were booked and all you had to do was get on the coach.

“It was a bit surreal because I got on the train with my little case on June 1 for the semi-final and didn't return home until June 27.”

His diary is already filling up with shows lined up at Butlins in Bognor, Skegness and Minehead, and he will form part of an all-star line-up alongside X Factor finalists Rebecca Ferguson, Aiden Grimshaw and Paije Richardson at Carlisle Racecourse on Sunday, July 24.

“It’s incredible to think that I’ll be dancing in front of thousands of people just up the road from my home in Kendal,” said Steven.

“I’m so looking forward to it because it’s a chance for me to say thank you to all the people from Cumbria who voted for me in Britain’s Got Talent and who have encouraged me every step of the way.”

And to prove just how proud he is of representing Kendal, he has planned a homecoming show in Kendal Town Hall from July 19 to July 21, raising funds for Sandylands Community Project.

He will also perform in Burneside Amateur Theatrical Society’s Showstoppers gig at Bryce Institute, Burneside, from August 24 to 27.

Tickets for both concerts are available from the box office on 07792 777213.
