THIEVES have stolen a quad bike and chain saw from an Eden farm.
The theft during Friday night occurred just days after a major police operation to crack down on farm and rural crime.
The unregistered quad bike and Stihl chain saw were taken from an outbuildings at a farm in Nateby near Kirkby Stephen. Police are appealing for witnesses.
On Wednesday, more than 200 volunteers joined police from Cumbria and five other northern forces in a Farm Watch operation to check suspicious vehicles. The initiative led to three arrests.
