A PROFESSIONAL dancer who has worked all over the world has set up a new school in Kendal.

Nicola Rowell has plied her trade at Tokyo Disney and among some of the world’s elite cruise liners.

But now she has returned to her home town and has launched Kendal 4 Dance, which aims to provide fun dance and fitness classes for adults of all ages and abilities.

"My classes will be based on having fun while working out and will include West end show routines, technique and dance fitness," she said. "We have classes to suit everyone and each and every class will aim to make adults feel good and explore new skills."

Classes are held at Kendal Leisure Centre and Kendal College studios.

They will include lessons in ballroom, latin, jazz, tap, zumba, burlesque and wedding dance.

Kendal 4 Dance classes aim to tone the body, provide enjoyment and teach adults skills in a fun-filled environment.

Nicola wants to make sure all classes are affordable to give everyone the opportunity to come along and give them a try.

"Dance is a great way to let go and have fun, it’s been my passion my whole life and I would love for adults to come and experience how much joy it can bring’," she said.

On the cruise ships Nicola performed in shows such as Cats, Mamma Mia and Vegas the Show. She is a fully qualified teacher and has vast experience teaching in colleges, schools and around the world.

Nicola started dancing at the age of six and trained at the prestigious Laine Theatre Arts College in London after gaining a three year scholarship studying Dance and Musical Theatre.

"Laine Theatre Arts gave me the greatest training I could have ever hoped for and fully prepared me for the industry," she said.
