Tax increase for Appleby residents

APPLEBY Town Council has increased its council tax precept for 2012-13.

It will rise from £62,500 to £68,250 – costing residents of band D properties an extra £5.05 a year.

The increase is to take account of inflation and to fund solar panels at the town hall.

Nice one Appleby. Good to see a local authority doing something about renewables. Should also be a good financial investment, even with the reduction in Feed in Tariffs.
