AN Ambleside business offering pampering products for bathing has won an award for having the town's best festive shop window.

The Bath House, on Market Place, scooped the award in a competition organised by Ambleside's Christmas Lights Committee

Owner Nigel Brooks said: "Every year we work hard to create a memorable window, and we like to support the Christmas lights and the Christmas weekend.

"This year is our 20th trading as Bath House so it was especially important to create a great window. "

The winning Christmas window was dressed with bows from a local fir tree, sparkling lights and also featured real moss and cut tree stumps.

It surrounded the shop's own white tea and rose natural bathing and body care collection.

For an extra bit of holiday magic, white snow was sprinkled across everything in the window.

Thirteen businesses took part in the festive shop window competition.

"It was nice to receive lots of compliments about the window and great to win the competition," said Mr Brooks. "We have another year and then we will have to do it all again, only even better."

The Bath House, which also has shops in Bowness, Sedbergh, Knutsford and Kirkby Lonsdale, was founded in 1997 with an aim to create products that are ‘naturally good’ for the skin.
