Officers are appealing for information as they investigate a report of a man approaching a teenage girl in Kendal.
A fourteen-year-old girl told her parents that a male approached her outside of the Castle Park Primary School, Sedbergh Drive, Kendal, at around 11.11am on Saturday, October 14. The man allegedly asked the girl to get in his car.
The man was stood next to a car, described as silver, with dark windows.
Police said at no point did the girl enter the car or was any physical contact made. She then ran home.
A 25-year-old man from Kendal, has been arrested for attempted abduction, he has been released on bail whilst enquiries continue.
Police are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed this incident to contact police referencing incident 95 of the 14th October 2017.
