The unexplained death of a Windermere woman has prompted a police investigation.
The elderly woman died in the Royal Preston Hospital on June 2.
MORE TOP STORIES: Prior to her admission to hospital, she was in the area of Miller Ground, off Rayrigg Road, Windermere, between 12.45pm and 1.15pm.
She became unwell later that day and was admitted to hospital.
Police are trying to establish what, if anything, happened prior her to becoming unwell.
She has been described as petite, 5' 2”, with short, spiked blonde hair. She was wearing an orange coloured hooded top, a plain blue grey t-shirt, and light blue jeans.
She was walking a black and brown border collie cross spaniel dog.
Officers would like to speak to anyone who saw a woman matching this description in the area of Miller Ground on May 31, or anyone who can assist with the investigation.
