Cumbria represented in world orienteering championships in Portugal

Bell smashes course record in Cartmel spectacular

CARL Bell found the soft going to his liking in the Lakeland Trails season opener at Cartmel on Saturday when he broke the course record in the 18km Cartmel Sticky Toffee Trail Race.

Bentham back to winning ways as Caton and Cartmel also reign supreme

CARTMEL and District played exceptionally well to beat a very good Bootle side in the first round of the Furness and District FA Senior Cup. Their defence had to be on top form and two-well taken goals by veteran Matthew Burrows and Phil Towler were enough for Cartmel to progress.
