ULVERSTON town, district and county councillor James Airey said some sort of event celebrating her release could happen in due time and if the family agreed to it.

He said: “This is fantastic news for the family who are well-known and well-respected and thankfully it is a result that the community can celebrate.

“She’ll need time to get over this obviously, but once she has settled down and fully recovered and if we ask Judith’s family it would be nice to have some sort of welcome home for her.”
