Woman taken to hospital following M6 crash

A WOMAN has been taken to hospital following an accident on the M6 this morning.
Police said a car ended up on its roof after it was involved in a collision with another car between J40 at Penrith and J39 at Shap on the southbound carriageway at around 9am.
A woman was taken to Cumberland Infirmary by ambulance. One lane (of three) is closed and matrix signs have been set to 40mph.
