A SOUTH Lakeland primary school has been ranked as one of the top performers in the country.
The national league tables found Cartmel C of E primary be the sixth best in the country.
The tables measured the percentage of pupils who achieved level four or above in reading, writing and maths between the ages of seven and 11.
Other high performing primary schools locally included Arnside, Windermere’s Goodly Dale, Heversham St Peter’s, Holme, Selside, Storth and Lindal and Marton.
