Quality mark for University of Cumbria
THE University of Cumbria has been awarded the prestigious Buttle UK Quality Mark for its commitment to young people in care.
Buttle is awarded to universities and colleges which commit to support a young person who has been in care to access further and higher education and successfully complete their studies.
There are 84 care leavers studying at the university – an increase of 60 per cent on last year – and 36 more are expected to join in September.
