A SUBMARINES apprentice brought home a bronze medal from a prestigious competition,
Callum Goulder, 21, of Kendal, was named one of the country's top apprentices during a computer-aided design contest at the UK Skills Show, at Birmingham NEC.
Callum is a third-year structural design apprentice at BAE Systems Submarines, Barrow. He beat stiff competition to show his ability to model and assemble a structure, created a detailed 'exploded' drawing and produce animations.
"I love design, so loved every minute of the 12-hour challenge," said Callum. “I was buzzing when it was announced that I had won bronze. My family were there to support me. They are over the moon.”
