JOHN Ruskin School's head boys, girls and their deputies were happy to give up their lunchtimes to deliver to and collect from local businesses, the boxes for this year's Poppy Appeal.
"The students are always supportive of charities and are involved in a range of fund-raising activities throughout the year," said Sarah Howard, from the Coniston school. "Young people understand the need to support them, and particularly the Poppy Appeal which supports those service men and women affected by conflict."
