GLOBETROTTING students from Barrow Sixth Form College are preparing to travel 80,000 miles.
Pupils will visit New York and Poland on educational trips to learn about the culture and history of other nations, as well as dark tourism - where people visit places synonymous with tragedy.
The 19 US-bound students will see landmarks including Times Square, Wall Street, the Statue of Liberty and the Empire State Building.
Thirteen students are heading to Poland to stay in Krakow and visit Auschwitz, 70 years after its liberation.
