Sedbergh School celebrated the 20th anniversary of the prestigious Sedbergh Super Tens, as spectators enjoyed some fantastic match play on Buskholme. Runners up for the last two years RGS High Wycombe again met Sedbergh School in the final and secured a 15-14 win over the hosts.

Plate winners were QEGS Wakefield, who beat KES Bath 15-7.

Player of the Tournament was Kieran Bungaroo from Brighton College.

Visiting teams were Abingdon School, Bristol Grammar School, KES Bath, RGS High Wycombe, RGS Lancaster, Barnard Castle, Brighton College, Kirkham Grammar School, Malvern, Millfield, QEGS Wakefield and Stamford School.

Headmaster Andrew Fleck said: “We were delighted to welcome some of the finest schoolboy rugby teams to Sedbergh for this event. The tournament would not have been the success it is without support of the RFU and the extremely high calibre of referees they provide. Graeme Marrs MBE entertained us with his match commentary throughout.”

Jason Duffy, Sedbergh School and England U16 Coach, said: “Combining the skills of both the 15s and 7s season resulted in one of the most entertaining Sedbergh Tens competitions to date.

"The level of skill, courage and determination produced one of the most competitive Trophy, Plate and Bowl competitions ever witnessed. A huge compliment to the boys that participated and to the school coaches for preparing the boys in an expert manner.”
