KENDAL College has been ranked as one of the top further education establishments in the country in new industry league tables.

FE Week – the premier news service for the further education and skills sector in England – has taken key criteria published by the Department for Education to create a rankings table featuring all of the country's 213 further education colleges

The results have been based on four measures: 2016/17 adult apprenticeships allocations as a percentage of all adult funding, employer and learner satisfaction scores, and the college’s success at getting unemployed learners into work.

Kendal College narrowly missed out on the top spot to Exeter College but actually ranked higher than the top college in three of the four measures. Added to that, Kendal College’s employer and learner satisfaction rates were among the highest of any college in the country.

Principal Graham Wilkinson said: “We’re delighted that Kendal College has performed so consistently well across all the measures for a number of years. In particular, we highly value the views of our learners and employers and work hard to tailor our wide range of courses and apprenticeships around what works best for them.

The next open event at the college will take place on Wednesday December 7, between 4pm and 7pm, when tutors and students will be on hand to talk about the range of courses and apprenticeships available and carry out tours of the campuses.
