A LAKE District farmer who was awarded a bursary to help develop a sheep school is gaining a large global following thanks to an online video.
James Rebanks, who farms Racy Ghyll Farm, Matterdale, was given a Freelander to use by Land Rover and awarded a bursary from Prince’s Countryside Fund.
He operates a traditional farm enterprise with Herdwick and Swaledale sheep.
The farm now has a huge following on Twitter with thousands of followers around the world. James and his wife, Helen, are developing The Herdwick Sheep School, which aims to bring school groups on to the farm to learn about the ancient traditions and farming techniques of the Lake District.
