TWO volunteers have been honoured with Cumbria Wildlife Trust’s (CWT) ‘Badger’s Paw Award’ for their ‘exceptional commitment to the conservation of wildlife in Cumbria’.
Judy Palmer, from Kendal, and Martin Chadwick, of Grange-over-Sands, received the awards at a ceremony at the local charity’s Members’ Conference.
Miss Palmer was honoured for her work as one of CWT’s earliest employees and as Cumbria’s County Ecologist and Mr Chadwick for the conservation of butterflies and moths, and for his conservation work on the trust’s nature reserves.
