NEW facilities for countryside management and gamekeeping students have been opened at Newton Rigg College, Penrith.
The Grizedale Building, formerly used by the University of Cumbria, has been refurbished by the college to provide kennels, dedicated classrooms, a larder and office space. The building will also be used by equine and animal management students.
The facility can be toured by members of the public at an open evening on Monday at 7pm, during which Lindsay Waddell, chairman of The National Gamekeepers Organisation, will give a talk about the future of the gamekeeping industry.
Spaces are limited. To book email angela.boon@newtonrigg.ac.uk or telephoning 01768-893715
