A GOVERNMENT website e-petition demanding that CCTV be installed at all slaughterhouses to deter animal cruelty has been signed by more than 38,000 people.
In response to the petition, set up following undercover filming by Animal Aid, Defra ministers said they were "not convinced of the need for further legislation at this time but will be keeping the need for CCTV under review".
