NOMINATIONS are being sought for the 2015 John Dennison Lifetime Achievement Award, which is being presented for the third time in memory of the popular Ulverston dairy farmer

Mr Dennison, of Scales Park Farm in Aldingham near Ulverston, died in 2012 while on holiday in Portugal with his wife Margaret.

The 68-year-old dairy farmer was well known for breeding award-winning cows and the award aims to recognise the dairy cattle breeder or exhibitor judged to be a high achiever and exemplary role model within the dairy industry.

It will be presented at the Borderway UK Dairy Expo in Carlisle on March 7.

Glynn Lucas at expo organisers Harrison & Hetherington said: “This award really is a unique award for UK Dairy Industry. It recognises people who shine and who have put their lifetimes work into the industry, just like John Dennison which it honours.”

To submit a nomination, send a brief resumé on the nominee by February 2 to the John Dennison Lifetime Achievement Award, Harrison & Hetherington Ltd., Borderway Mart, Rosehill, Carlisle CA1 2RS.
