THE National Beef Association's Spring Spectacular Show will be held as part of the NBA Beef Expo at York Auction Centre on May 21.
The cream of British cattle will compete for a total prize pot of £5,000 for a range of classes, including native, continental, British Blue, Limousin-sired heifers and steers.
There will also be baby beef classes, two young handlers’ events and an auctioneers’ handler challenge.
NBA Beef Expo chairman Richard Tasker said: “Once again, we have a fantastic line-up of classes and we’re expecting to see the very best of pedigree and commercial cattle descend here at York Auction Centre.
“The Spring Spectacular Show is absolutely at the heart of this, giving visitors to the show the opportunity to see the very best in British beef breeding and I am sure that as always it will be one of the major highlights of the event.”
