Smaller farms urged to register for payments
SMALLER farms in the North West are registering for Rural Payments at one of the lowest rates across the country, according to new research.
The Rural Payments Agency says 75 per cent of larger farm claimants in the region have registered, compared with 47 per cent of small farm businesses.
The new digital service is now the only way for farmers and landowners to claim their money.
