On Monday Penrith & District Farmers’ Mart LLP held their fortnightly sale of Prime Cattle.
David Raine once again topped the trade at 188.50p/kg (£1359.09) for a Limousin Bull purchased by J A Jewitt, Spennymoor.

STORE SHEEP
At Borderway Mart Harrison & Hetherington held their weekly sale of store sheep which saw a small show but demand and prices were well up. Topping the trade was the first pen of the day for 16 tremendous Beltex lambs peaking at £70. This great run of sheep was from Messrs Thornborrow, Newbiggin Hall. Many more lambs could have been sold and would have been to vendors advantage.

Store Lambs
On Monday Penrith & District Farmers’ Mart LLP held their pre-Christmas sale of 118 store lambs.
A small show of store lambs sold to the regular ringside of buyers, all classes were sharper on the fortnight.
