Harrison & Hetherington Ltd had forward 926 head of cattle a their weekly Wednesday sale at Borderway comprising of 575 Store Cattle, Store Bulls and Stirks, 261 Calves and 90 Dairy cattle forward for Borderway Monthly Dairy day. All classes of store and feeding cattle proved to be again sharper on the week and with a huge company of buyers in attendance for all classes, many more could be sold. STORE CATTLE: A very good entry of 263 store cattle forward whereby all classes sold dearer on all previous weeks. Top overall was a marvellous British Blue heifer from Messrs Charlton, Crown Point Farm, Penrith. Messrs Carruthers,  Grassgarth, Carlisle sold top priced Limousin crosses achieving £1225 for two. Top overall Limousin steer was £1260 jointly achieved firstly for a British Blue cross from Messrs Beaty, Durdar, Carlisle and secondly by Messrs McMiken, Nether Ernambrie. Black and white steers sold dearer also achieving a top of £970 for a Friesian from Messrs Holliday, High Bow, Carlisle
